ARCOM Celebrates Office Relocation with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
Portland, Maine (April 3, 2017) – ARCOM is pleased to announce that it will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new office located at 129 Middle Street, Portland, Maine. The ceremony will be held onsite at 10:00 AM on April 4.
ARCOM recently acquired InterSpec, which has been based in Maine since 1998. InterSpec, the leading provider of BIM-to-specifications software e-SPECS®, has adopted the ARCOM company name following the acquisition. ARCOM is the exclusive publisher of MasterSpec®, a product of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
“The Portland based operation has terrific assets that complement ARCOM's current offerings," said Jim Contardi, ARCOM's CEO. "We are excited to further invest here.”
ARCOM's Maine staff had outgrown their South Portland, Maine office, precipitating the move. The new Old Port office will accommodate the current staff, allow for planned growth, and help attract the talent to fuel growth. Gilles Letourneau, AIA, CSI, founder of InterSpec, will continue to manage the Portland office.
“We are thrilled to be a contributor to Maine’s innovation economy, and excited to join Portland’s downtown business community," said Gilles. "We would not be in this position of rapid growth had it not been for resources like the Maine Venture Fund investing time and resources in our business early on.”
The mayor of Portland, Ethan Strimling, will speak during the ceremony and help cut the ribbon. Members of the Portland Chamber of Commerce will also attend.
ARCOM, the specification experts, exclusively publishes MasterSpec®, a product of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), for use by design professionals involved in building projects. ARCOM owns and publishes SpecText® for use by engineers for infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater. ARCOM works with manufacturers, providing extensive product and manufacturer information through cloud-based specification resources, custom manufacturer specifications, and the SpecBuilder Expert platform. ARCOM's innovative software specification tools and resources dramatically simplify specification creation, research, and project management. Follow ARCOM on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and our blog.
