Converting units of measure from one measurement system to another is not necessarily an arithmetic conversion of numbers. The conversion process involves the introduction of new products (or physically similar products) in new measurement sizes. These new products of differing sizes may not fit with or into products produced under another measurement system. Metric products are different from inch-pound (IP) products and must be considered and dealt with accordingly.
