This 30,500 s.f. 5th floor renovation included removal of all existing labs and all associated walls, ceilings, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems. Multiple open research labs were designed individually for each investigator’s research specialty. An analysis was provided of the existing air distribution system and electrical distribution system located on the sixth floor dedicated for mechanical and electrical systems.

Design included removal of the existing dual-duct system and replacement with a new VAV system, as well as replacement of the existing vertical distribution system with new individual floor distribution systems.
