A recent addition to the Kennesaw State campus, the Visual Arts building houses a creative mix of artistic students and faculty. Anderson Design is currently creating exterior environments that emphasize the facility’s creative spirit through the development of outdoor studio spaces and opportunities for the placement of sculptural elements throughout the site.

The landscape design includes a palette of mostly native shade, flowering and evergreen plant material that provide year round seasonal interest with a variety of colors and textures. These plants are arranged in rather geometric patterns close to the building, but then become more informal before blending into the surrounding hardwood tree save areas. A reforestation program at the edges of the existing trees will minimize the visual impact of the building construction.
