SECTION 281643 - PERIMETER SECURITY SYSTEMS
In addition to general MasterSpec instructions for coordinating Drawings with Specifications, Drawings should indicate the following information related to this Section:
- Diagrams of system components and interconnections. Use riser diagram format where appropriate. Supplement with block diagrams and subsystem connection diagrams if required.
- Locations and identifications of system devices and equipment, and designations of device types.
- Zone assignments of individual detection devices.
- Coordination of detection patterns of microwave detectors and sensor patterns of adjustable detectors with site plans, site contours, and landscape plans.
- Number of, and dimension or size of, each zone of detection of the video motion sensor system.
- Power to signal processors, actuators, transmitters, and similar site-deployed devices associated with the security system that require 120-V ac to operate. Indicate transfer switch or uninterruptible power supply to the central station where applicable.
- Elevations of control panels and annunciators. Identify central- and local-control panels, and indicate zones of coverage at each monitoring or control station.
- Wiring paths of power, signal, and data to system components on site plans. Coordinate with site utilities and duct bank systems.
- Programmed lighting control override push buttons for security-related lighting zones and control system interfaces on floor and site plans.
- Identification of items to receive tamper switches.
- Where detection devices include separately mounted auxiliary components, locate such components on plans and show wiring connections.
- Precise locations and alignment requirements for photoelectric beam devices. Coordinate with practical equipment limitations as defined by manufacturers.
