SECTION 077129 - MANUFACTURED ROOF EXPANSION JOINTS
In addition to general MasterSpec instructions for coordinating Drawings with Specifications, Drawings should indicate the following information related to this Section:
- Location and extent of each type of roof expansion-joint assembly. Locate the roof expansion-joint assembly so it does not impede roof drainage.
- Size of the assembly unless only one size is required and specified.
- Installation details, including embedding flanges and termination or transition details, where the assembly joins other construction.
- Extension of roof expansion-joint assemblies over curbs, parapets, cornices, gutters, valleys, fasciae, and other building construction.
- Locations of transitions, intersections, and termination devices.
- Nominal joint width (opening) and supporting curbs and cant strips.
- Profiles for aluminum units.
- Locations where protective coatings are required.
