SECTION 033053 - MISCELLANEOUS CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE
In addition to general MASTERSPEC instructions for coordinating Drawings with Specifications, Drawings should indicate the following information related to this Section:
- Locations where reinforced concrete will be exposed to chlorides in service, or dry or protected from moisture in service.
- Locations where concrete is subject to deicing chemicals for limits on cementitious materials other than portland cement, if applicable.
- Locations and details of contraction, isolation, and construction joints.
- Locations and details of chamfers.
- Locations and details of inserts, reglets, dovetail anchor slots, built-in frames, openings, and other items where work of other trades will be attached to or supported by formwork.
- Locations and perimeter details of vapor retarders.
- Sizes, locations, and extent of steel reinforcement and welded wire reinforcement. Include details of reinforcement placement and concrete cover. Identify reinforcement that is galvanized or epoxy coated.
- Locations and extent of carbon steel and synthetic-fiber reinforcement.
- Types and locations of lapped or welded splices for reinforcement.
- Specific locations for the use of various concrete strengths and colors.
- Details clearly defining size, shape, and dimensions of concrete sections.
- Locations and details of depressed slabs to receive concrete toppings or thickset finishes.
- Locations and extent of finishes for formed surfaces and unformed surfaces such as slabs where not specified or scheduled.
