Senior Architectural Specifications Writer
Tim Werbstein, AIA, CCS, a graduate of the City College of New York, has joined
the staff of the ARCOM, Virginia office as an architectural specification writer.
He has worked primarily in the New York, Florida, and Metropolitan DC areas for
over 30 years and is a registered architect in several states.
Professionally, Tim has been a key design and production team member, evaluating modern and historic materials and
preparing specifications for a wide array of building types; including museums, educational buildings, heavy rail
transportation facilities, parking garages, churches, and bridges, including listed historic landmarks.
Tim was chief specifier for the historic restoration and adaptive reuse of Union Station in Washington, DC; Grand
Central Terminal in New York City; Union Station and parking garage in Worcester, MA; and Main Street Station in
Richmond, VA. His project experience on heavy rail transportation facilities includes stations and ancillary buildings
for the New York City subway system, the Metrorail system in Metropolitan Dade County, FL; and the Metro in
Washington, DC.
In his free time he enjoys hiking and traveling (the photograph to the left was taken on an Inca Trail in Peru), but
is always attentive to construction technologies.
Now Tim is utilizing his experience on the MasterSpec team.
