ARCOM President and CEO
Christopher Bushnell was named President of ARCOM in 2006 after serving in a
variety of other positions at ARCOM over the previous 10 years. At ARCOM, Chris
has served as Director of MasterSpec Operations, Linx Coordinator, Outline
Coordinator, and Senior Architectural Specification Writer.
Chris has over 26 years' experience in the construction industry, including 16 years as an architect in private
practice. For five years he was a founding principal in Archos Corporation, a 15-person architectural/engineering
firm. In this position, he was responsible for the firm's document production and construction administration,
including all architectural specifications and CAD standards. Mr. Bushnell has been responsible for the project
management of over $200 million in construction (projects) including health-care, commercial, educational,
correctional, and residential facilities.
In his career Mr. Bushnell also served as Project Manager for The BJSS Group in Olympia, Washington; Project
Manager for ECI/Hyer, Inc. also in Olympia Washington; and Project Architect for Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill
in Portland, Oregon. His projects at these firms included major renovations, additions and remodels of several
hospitals and medical centers, a correctional facility, mental health facility, several schools, a community
college, and the Terraces Multi-use Complex in Calgary, Canada.
Mr. Bushnell holds a Masters of Business Administration, 2003, George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, and
Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude, 1979, Washington State University, Pullman, Washington.
Mr. Bushnell enjoys reading, collecting glass and art, wine tasting, and camping and fishing.
He and his wife, Terry, have recently moved to Salt Lake City, but Mr. Bushnell divides his time between the
Salt Lake City office and the office in Alexandria VA.
