The Gypsum Association was founded in 1930 to promote the use of gypsum while advancing the development growth, and general welfare of the gypsum industry in the U.S. and Canada. Members must calcine gypsum and manufacture gypsum board under the provisions of ASTM Standard C 1396.

The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) develops, maintains, and disseminates the Body of Knowledge for designing, fabricating, and constructing precast concrete structures and systems. From this Body of Knowledge, buildings codes, design guides, education, and certification programs are derived. PCI also provides technical resources, certification for companies and individuals, and continuing education.
