Senior Software Developer
ARCOM is seeking a senior-level software developer to join our technical team of developers to develop commercial specification productivity software in the Salt Lake City, UT office.
Knowledge and Experience
- Object-oriented analysis, design, and programming
- Application development
- Design patterns
- .NET
- C#
- GUI development, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
- Relational database
- Windows XP, Vista, 7
- Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
- Experience using source-code control systems and issue-tracking systems
- Experience with software as a service (SaaS) development
Qualifications:
- Computer Science Degree
- At least 8 years experience with professional software development
- Self-motivated with strong communication, development, and troubleshooting skills
- Proven track record of achieving goals and meeting milestones
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team/project setting

Part-time Copyeditor
ARCOM, the leader in specifications, is seeking a part-time copyeditor for the company's SpecText master guide specification product. The position requires a well-organized individual with an ability to edit dense technical material in a deadline-driven environment. Specific responsibilities include editorial review of construction specifications according to the SpecText® Writer's Manual and CSI specification writing principles.
This is a 20-hour-per-week position, with flexibility on the specific hours worked. Preference is for working on-site in our Old Town Alexandria office; however, the right candidate could work from home, with periodic office visits for meetings and training. The position may become full time based on future needs.
Successful candidate will be organized and detail oriented, have 2 years' experience editing technical documents, be familiar with the Chicago Manual of Style, and be capable of proficient on-screen editing in Microsoft Word.
